It's just the build quality, far superior, you have to hold it to see what I mean, the BBOT just seems a bit tacky side by side, I'm pleased and that's all.....

Not sure I can see any basis for it being much of an improvement on the BBOT either. I'm sure it's beautifully engineered, but at that price I'd want some of the functionality/versatility of a Badass or Fender Elite version (the latter also surprisingly expensive to my mind)

'at that price'?? Far cheaper than the Babics Z, and better build quality than THE Fender BBOT, side by side it's far better..

 In fairness a replacement Fender Pure Vintage 70s bbot is £50+ (I discovered much to my annoyance when wanting to restore a 70s reissue to stock).

 

Think this is stainless steel which given the corrosion on a few old bbot I've got isn't a bad idea, and probably it's a bit more rigid. Anyway it has a certain look to it and really we all know aesthetics matter!

Yes but the PV 70s allows you multiple string alignment option so is a better bridge. The bridge in question is to all intents a standard BBOT.

Not the 70s version! The one with threaded saddles is the 58 I think.

I dig in hard, and I mever suffer with bridge saddles sliding.

 

I have four or five basses with high mass bridges... have never noticed any difference. 

 

Funnily enough my first two basses (mid 80s) would qualify as high mass ... so perhaps I've 'devolved'.

Yep I use these, can be got for around £40 for the Fender version but there’s another brand (name escapes me) that are cheaper and appear just as good 👍

Got a few of them, build quality is a bit naff compared to the Halon.

The grooves are there man, polished chrome on the saddle, look very close, it's a shite picture anyway. Trust me, they are there.
