I’m looking for a powered cab.
My current band use IEMs and no amps on stage. (I use my ebs micro 3 bass straight into the desk)

Occasionally I dep with other bands that I need to have sound on stage. Is there any powered speakers out there that are light but not the price of GR ones ?

A light, affordable and decent powered cab is not common. Why not get a combo and dial back the input sensitivity (or use the line input or effects return if it has one - many do). Failing that, an active PA cab would to the job for not too much money.

Any decent FRFR powered PA cab should do the job. Have al look through the FRFR thread for examples.

I have an RCF 745 but TBH it's turned out to be complete overkill for what I need, and a smaller, lighter and lower powered cab would be equally suitable for nearly all the situations where I still need my own amplification on stage.

I've used the Headrush FRFR112 MKII in my bass duet with great success and it was really well sounding coupled to an EBS bass preamp (the EBS-1 V2 old rack model) or to a Headrush Core.

There was a powered Bergantino cab in the Amps For Sale a little while ago, which looked like an excellent bit of kit. Discontinued now though.

IIRC, GR Amps made a powered cab, again, discontinued.

I was looking at the Barefaced site a short while ago, and they also provide a powered option on some cables, but not all.

Again, IIRC, part of the Blackstar Unity range, they did a 250w 1x15 powered cab, not sure if that's still available.
