terryj Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I think I read on this forum that there was a battery checker that you put into your jack socket, or am I dreaming again??? Quote

tauzero Posted Sunday at 18:39 Posted Sunday at 18:39 The Keith McMillen Batt-O-Meter works very well, with the proviso that you can't check an 18V preamp by plugging in to the jack socket, you need to take the batteries out and test them individually. Quote

ead Posted Thursday at 07:48 Posted Thursday at 07:48 I was really hoping that a batt-o-meter measured something completely different 😞 2 Quote
Hacksawbob Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was thinking of DIY building something along these lines for myself. I have an acoustic that I have to detune the strings to access the battery. I have a trs cable and a multimeter to check it, but it's less than optimal! If it works out ok I will post on here. Quote
itu Posted 11 minutes ago Posted 11 minutes ago A DMM sure tells something about the batteries. True battery testers usually have some kind of load which gives better understanding of the capacity. Quote
