You can do an open seam mate! You just need to get your hands on this stuff. Oh, and a cooking thermometer is a good idea but not essential.

So now I'm expecting you to paint your DB in camouflage pattern, using Humbrol paints.

 

And then of course there are the transfers ...

Well, yes and no!

A fair bit of splintering and delamination to fix if you look closely. But I glued it all back. Mixed advice between hide and wood glue for that job. I went the unpopular way and used wood glue, as I figure if the top is ever removed again you don't want that delamination to open up again. Permanent fix...
