Maude Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Well it's an Antoria, which I think is the same as Ibanez (the 70s Japanese ones). I think they were branded Antoria for the UK market. @Bassassin will be the man who knows. Quote
EMG456 Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago Yes- Antoria was a brand name and the guitars were made alongside the Ibanez branded guitars at the time. They even shared the same model numbers. I have an Antoria copy of the Gibson 175 arch top guitar and the label inside the body is an Ibanez one. Thick black of the sunburst over the body’s cutouts suggest that the body will be a blackboard construction with a core of mahogany blocks sandwiched between the lighter alder looking top and back. Should be a nice instrument. 1 Quote
casapete Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago (edited) Never mind the guitar, what about that bloody case? Marvellous! 🤣 Actually Gardner Houlgate auction house had one of these up for sale a while back. It went for £500 including the wooden case like yours. It’s a mid 70’s Antoria Gemini-4 Model 2407 double neck. Strat / Jazz bass with rosewood fingerboards, Made in Japan. Edited 40 minutes ago by casapete Info 1 Quote
