Stub Mandrel Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I have a crap Lenovo tablet looking for a use as I've ordered a galaxy tab to replace it for work. It is very slow, but It could serve for setlists/prompts especially if depping. Is there a good android app, or am I best off just having a pdf. The ideal would be a setlist, andvrap.on a song brings up a page of notes/condensed tab/chord chart or whatever... Main requirements- never goes blank, stable - doesn't easily disappear or crash. Big letters. Quote
Acebassmusic Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Myself and the other band members use SetlistPro. You can enter in the song details directly or, as we do, import .pdf files. 1 Quote
JohnDaBass Posted August 6 Posted August 6 For many years I was a long term user of Guitar Tapp Pro on Android. It's been all I needed when playing in 4 different bands, easy to share and simple to create and edit set lists. It's now been upgraded and replaced by Chords.wiki and is faster, more flexible and easy to use. As it's an App you can use it across your, phone, tablet or laptop and it automatically sync's up from the cloud. Sharing set lists between band members is breeze. Only downside is the annual subscription. 1 Quote
acidbass Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I see a lot of guys using 'On Song' for live setlists. No experience here but worth a look! 1 Quote
itu Posted August 6 Posted August 6 MobileSheets Pro. Pay once and play a lot. Setlists, PDF, JPG, books with bookmarks... Used it for a few years, and works very well. I have maybe 5000 songs in there. No more papers. 3 Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted August 6 Author Posted August 6 Now got a Galaxy Rab9+ and I'm at the 'realising how bad my old tablet is' stage... Perhaps it's only good for a photo frame, although I'm trying a few of these apps Quote

Very low cost, huge range of features and customisations to get what you need. I've been using it for all my charts for a couple of years and other band members who need one and have seen mine have got it too. I like that I can import PDFs and Images on my fast phone, then do a two-way sync with my tablet in seconds. It works with my page turner has night mode etc. It also excellent documentation and a large active user base (has it's own helpful forum). From my phone (for convenience for this post, when playing I use the table)... Song view (easily filterable to find the songs you want) Setlist list view Setlist view (top song is a PDF from a bassist I depped, the bottom one is a PNG image I added) Edited 5 hours ago by kiat Autocorrect manual correct: "highly", not "throttle"! 3 Quote
