Really on the fence about this bass. Out of interest, are active pickups with a passive EQ a commen thing? Not too keen on neck binding.

Quite a lot of the EMG pickup sets are active, but without the 2/3 band EQ. Same as the Bass Centre Guy Pratt 'Betsy' signature - there's just an extra rout for a 9v battery under the scratch plate usually.

I love the colour. I'm surprised they haven't got a black one too, though, just for those fans that don't like the purple.

 

As Spector fan, I'm not going to be joining the queue. It's an FSO from Spector and it opens up the brand to more players. As a marketing move I geddit totally.

I really like it, it's a great price point for a signature model from a brand like Spector and it's pretty unique to their line up. Maple boards with matching headstocks usually doesn't work for me, but there's something about it that I really like, maybe it's the matching purple blocks?

 

I was umming and arring over a Pulse II (in ultra violet - so purple works for me!), but this def throws a spanner in the works!
