Sounds spot on. I was a huge fan of of the Moog, and actually had Tom @ COG make me a custom slimmed down version in a small enclosure many years ago... but I kept going back to the big boy, for its niggles and PITA power requirements. This looks like really impressive alternative. Big win.

I do not. If you go to the Cog custom section on the website and scroll right to the bottom, it is the very last pedal on the page! I sold it on some years ago (along with my entire pedal and bass collection) during some financial hardship, which is thankfully long behind me now. I do miss it greatly though. I plan to get another made by him one day. Tom was cool enough to do a few customs for me around that time. The fuzz he made me (Meatgrinder) is on his site as well, but he did a chorus for me as well that wasn't listed (pretty much a bass tuned DOD Ice Box) as well as a tremolo based on the Boss PN-2 with some additional craziness. They were all killer. The phaser though, sounded just like this BM-13... which is why I'm so interested in it!

Don’t think they’ve made it into stock yet. Andertons are showing as being available next week Monday.

It’s a big beast; comically large. Can’t realistically get this on my Aclam board

 

Knobs aren’t bolted to the case, which is disappointing, but I suspected might be the case, given the price. Sounds nice though. Seems to be a fair amount of top end roll-off compared to the Black Pearl (another MF-103 clone); the Wombtone has much more high-end clarity.

 

Not sure whether I’ll keep it, mainly due to the knobs and the size.

while I could live with an original moogerfooger if I had one cos they are super cool - that looks a little silly. Of the phasers in your picture it's probably the least appealing . (mostly going visually!)

Do you own a footer to put it next to? It might be the size of the knobs they used, but it looks even wider (but a bit shorter) than the Moog. Making it wider is a bit of a p11s take really because they were obscene to start with. I still can't believe I used to gig with 5 of them (and a Moog MP-201).

That Black Pearl looks tasty though!

I don’t; I think the footprint is slightly smaller but deeper.

 

Black Pearl is a loaner for comparison. Tempted to get one.

 

Gigging with 5 MF pedals is mad.

 

Need PastFX to make one of their shrunk-down clones of this like they did with the 101.

Yeah, that old board with the footers was silly! Ha.

Does the Black Pearl nail it? I’ve heard a few people say it’s very subtle and in fact doesn’t sound much like the Moog at all. But guitar demos imply otherwise.

 

I just picked up a Mr Black Gilamondo and it’s VERY good. But the Moog had a special place in my heart. I’m not sure the Behringer is going to scatch that itch.
