Scott 999 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Ok, so having settled on the above pairing, I've finally put them together and... nothing, no sound. I don't have another cab or head to test them individually at the moment Am no wondering if I'm doing so thing daft. Has anyone else had this issue P.s. it's not the mute switch Pps I'm using an nl2 speakon to jack cable Quote
BassmanPaul Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Thy a different speaker cable would be the first step. A speaker cabinet can be easily checked for operation by using a jack cable into the cabinet and touching the terminals of a 9V battery across the other end. Should produce a hearty thump from the speakers. 1 Quote
BassmanPaul Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Just as a thought: does the amp have an Effects Loop? If it does then try linking the Send and Return jacks with a signal cable. The normalizing contacts on these jacks are notorious for corrosion because they are not used that often. When this happens they fail to pass a signal through the loop. Quote

BassAdder60 Posted Friday at 07:28 Posted Friday at 07:28 Just a guess but does the V7 have a headphone switch ? I recall Ashdown did this as well and it mutes the main speaker out ! Just a thought Quote

BassmanPaul Posted Friday at 14:07 Posted Friday at 14:07 (edited) @Scot 999 The OP hasn't been back since the day he joined up so I guess nothing we say is of interest to him. Sad that! Edited Friday at 17:01 by BassmanPaul Quote

If you put the RM heads into their little woolly gig bag, that switch inevitably gets pressed. I love my RM800, but that's a definite design flaw! Quote
Lozz196 Posted yesterday at 19:51 Posted yesterday at 19:51 Yeah I’ve actually printed out on Dymo tape an instruction to check that if no output, and stuck it on the amp panel near the controls. Quote
