ubit Posted Wednesday at 10:54 Posted Wednesday at 10:54 I found this guy on Youtube. He is spot on. Everything he mentions has happened to me and I can totally relate to all of his experiences, even though he lives and gigs in Australia. 2 2 Quote
musicbassman Posted Wednesday at 12:34 Posted Wednesday at 12:34 Yes, all of these things. The guys metaphors are a bit excessive, but what really made me smile the most is that depressing experience when the band finishes the first number in their set and then realises the background bar music is still playing. And nobody seemed to notice or even care. 😳 1 1 Quote
BigRedX Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Could be re-titled 20 reasons not to play in a pub covers band. Playing in originals bands I've only encountered two of them. The late payment with numerous ignored requests for the money, that was eventually honoured about a year after the gig. The promotor in question had a reputation for being bad at paying and we are unlikely to do another gig for them. Also the load-in/out in the rain or, in the case of the UK, snow. Doubly awful if you are a band with any kind of image that involves hairspray. All the others make me glad that I don't play in those kinds of bands to that kind of an audience. 1 Quote
