"... not been modified in anyway..." - is that bridge original? 

I've owned a couple of these in the past and seen many, many more, but never seen one with this unusual type of bridge

I had one, just checked my pictures of it which are a bit dark but the bridge on mine is a smaller footprint (about half the distance front to back), it's got drop-in slots rather than holes for the strings, and the saddles are different.

Looks like 1988 from the serial number. I've got 3 and none of them have bridges like that, but mine are all 91 or later.
