Larger than life character... Played with everyone. Dominated the Warwick bass channel with his intro for many years.

 

A nice guy by many accounts of his appearances at the London Bass Guitar show.

Properly down to earth guy.

A loss to the Bass playing community.

Monster player! I first heard of him when he played on Steve Vai’s ‘sex and religion’ album and he was GREAT on that, but it turns out I’d been listening to him for much longer as a hired gun for loads of other people. A sad loss.

A huge departure from the awesome playing in the video above, but this really impressed me as a budding bassist in the 90s.
