ReeV0 Posted May 27, 2023 Share Posted May 27, 2023 Hi all, I think I need to take my Ibanez ATK 805 to a tech to get a proper setup. There is really bad fret buzz and I'm constantly turning the truss rod wheel anticlockwise to try and loosen the neck, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I've turned it quite a lot over a period of a few weeks, and is now very hard to turn... I'm worried that if I keep forcing it I might break something! it buzzes mainly on the lower frets, particularly the B string. I don't see any extreme bow, and the action is already pretty high. Setting it higher would just be uncomfortable. This is for an 805 - I also have an 810 with much lower action and zero fret buzz. I'm very reluctant to try and force the truss rod further. I'm wondering if the frets need levelling or something... Can anyone recommend any good techs in the London/Brighton/Coventry areas? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
