Does it have 1 or 2 trim pots on top of the Bartolini MTD G preamp?

Just checked my Grendel:

Zero fret: 48mm

12th: 68mm

24th: 77mm

String spacing at the bridge: 19mm

Depth at 12th: 24mm

Scale: 35"

Sounds like the neck on the Stadium is slightly narrower towards the body, presumably because of the narrower string spacing.

It's a very similar neck profile to a US MTD, and my Groove Shoppe GS5 which also has a MT licensed neck.

In other words, pretty comfy, asymmetric profile too.

Yes asymmetrical neck on the Grendel

Does yours have bass/treble concentric pot?

my preamp is MTD G

Bartolini

Buffered Tone Select

Yes, but I don't have the original preamp in mine.

The previous owner installed another Bart pre (ntmb-918f), with similar controls to a US MTD. Vol (active/passive push/pull), bal, bass/treb, mid and 3-way mid-freq select.

It's also running at 18v, so they probably enlarged the battery compartment too to fit the extra battery. It's a fairly tidy job on the battery cavity though, so difficult to say if it was like that originally or not. From the pictures, they may have just removed the original integrated battery holder and then there was just enough space (it's a pretty tight fit) for 2 x 9v.

The pickups are barts, and look similar to those in the pictures, so probably original, non-exposed pole pieces.
