Cue the sound of rubber hitting the road! I've been putting off selling any basses but with a build to fund, it needs doing sooner or later.

Here are my pair of Yamaha BB425s, originally destined to be my only two basses. Identical apart from the colour and strings, each has an alder body with 45 degree through-stringing, 5-piece neck of maple and nato (similar to mahogany, apparently!) and ceramic P and J type pickups, wound a little hot for a full, balanced tone.
The metallic red one is strung with DR Sunbeams and the sunburst with Status flats, although I can change those for rounds if preferred.
Each looks to weigh 4.4kg on my bathroom scale, and ol' red has a tiny fleck of red in the neck finish on the bass side near the body- I'd already had it a year or so before I noticed it, but it is shown in the photos.
I have a choice of Thomann gigbags to ship them in, either the black one with one of the zip heads missing, or the blue one with a burn hole from an onstage candle!
Collection is welcomed and we can meet in my studio which is separate from the house, or I have boxes for posting. I can usually get a good price via Interparcel, but we can figure out the price depending on the service you'd prefer to use.

I’m assuming these are 4.25kg not 3.25kg tho? That’s lighter than a strat... sadly I’d bite your arm off for such a lightweight five string too.

The bathroom scales did say 3.25 for both, or I misread them. It doesn't sound right though, and the basses don't feel unusually light. I'll double check with my Mum's scales! 😄

My apologies for the inaccurate weight!

I've borrowed my Mum's digital scale and an old hanging scale, both put the weight at 4.4kg, which sounds more likely! My bathroom scales are obviously a bit off- although strangely I weigh a couple of kg more on the one which weighed the basses short!

Hi Andy

No apologies required for me. My mother in law's scales make me nearly a stone lighter than I am so I know how variable they can be.

I don't think it's at all heavy but I was attracted by the originally advertised super skinny weight so I don't think it's the one for me. GLWTS!
