No idea how good they are though. My local only sells the gu*tar models.

I have something called a Pocket Rock-It that sounds OK but is very noisy, even with the gain turned down. The headphones that come with it are surprisingly good though.

Here's a few. Not bass but could be worth a try.

and there's a whole pile of them here:

In fact, come to think about it, the mini mixer I'm selling would enable you to do this as well as lots of other stuff.

I wouldn't worry about them not being bass specific - I've been using guitar combos for practicing at home since I began playing bass in 1987.

I use one of these

Great little device, great company, fast shipping.

I know a few people who have the VOX and they all say the same thing, that it eats through batteries.

My Earwing runs off a single 9v battery i've had the same one in for 2 months now and i use mine for at least an hour a day.

This is a little more expensive, but I would be lost without my Korg Pandora around £99 the last time I looked, the guitar/bass model has loads of useful effects, incl the option to jam along with cd's or mp3 via an aux input together with a bass cancelling option to cut the bass line from the aux input so you can play your own bassline over the top of your chosen track (hope that makes sense),versatile piece of kit well worth the expense, mike b.

Or the Tascam MP-BT1, which has about 2GB(??) of memory for MP3's to play along to, speed up, slow down, transpose key etc. More detail here

£100 ish

Damn it - I'm now thinking about getting one of these now that I've seen it ;)
Yeah, me to :-(.

I have a Pandora but hardly ever use it, this would be great for going over songs back stage.
Ive tried a couple of the guitar ones in the past but they all seem to be based on distorted sounds, no good for bass.
I wonder if this one is cleaner.

EDIT: Just listened to the demo's and they sound fine. Im going to order one this week.
