Bassassin Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 Sadly not quite as easy as that - you need to remove the strings, then unscrew the pickup surround from the bass & remove the pickup from that. The cover is assembled from underneath the surround & the screws & springs hold the lot together. I assume that you've played a 4003 with the treble cover in place? Most people hate it. If you haven't had a Ric before, you may want to try one with the cover in place before you go to the trouble of re-fitting yours. Just saying ... And if it's any good to anyone, I have a spare chrome coloured Pickguardian (with the perspex topper too). £15 in P&P for the both.
