That is a lot of money for a bass that has a bit of a school woodwork project vibe about it.

Thats ugly. I think ill give it a miss. 

To be honest, I can't see myself ever buying a bass more expensive than my Euro LX and even that is far too good for someone of my very minimal talents.

Actually, $6K isn't too bad for a US custom shop bass.

I'll stick with my original 1976/1977 SB-1 (signed by Stuart Spector) though...... keep my wallet closed!

Thats quite interesting. It explains why im boosting the mids a lot in my amp, the tonepump has quite a mid scoop. Based on the audio samples in this video, the tonepump seems more aggressive and overall, probably the better choice for me but probably not for anyone playing less aggressive music.
