Bought not long ago off a good chap on here. Now only selling as I've found a Shuker I've been after for over a year and something needs to fund it. £750 shipped.
Ash body in red satin with matching headstock
21 fret rosewood board
Delano 2-band active pre
Push/pull active passive
Great neck and super playability and sound. Häussel pickups sound rich with something of a vintage tone. This covers a lot of ground. Nicely thick padded gigbag included. Well packed for shipping.
No trades I'm afraid, as I need some cash towards the Shuker.
After a fair bit of research, helped by a couple of threads on here and advice from @ead , I acquired this. I'm very happy!
Great neck, good condition bar a few dinks here and there, frets in good nick and a superb player. The seller seemed to think, due to a 'U' serial no, that it was from 95-96 but I'm inclined to think it's a 2010 model given its condition and spec.
As the neck shows, this is the JB-62US model that indicates an alder body and US spec pickups; lovely dark tort scratchplate on it too.
Brand new Fender American Professional Jazz.
Bought it new from a store in USA as a moving away/returning to UK present to myself. By the time I got back to Europe, situation has changed and now have to let it go to a new loving owner.
Comes as/with all you would expect from a brand new bass (including protective plastics, etc.)
One thing to mention - Mouth-breathers on US border after inspecting the case didn't bother to put it back into packaging and it ended up with few scratches (could be seen in one of the pictures).
Happy to offer my semi-new precision case instead (although I don't think it fits the Jazz body as well).
Collection from South East London or a possible drop off within M25 only.
Alembic Spoiler from 1989.
Some specs: birds-eye maple top, mahogany body, 3 piece maple neck(through) with ebony board including OHSC. 32 inch, 2 truss rods, AXY pickups, Volume/Tone/Pickup selector, Alembic low pass filter with Q-switch, chrome Alembic GOTOH tuners, Brass bridge, just below 4kgs on my kitchen scale etc. This Spoiler has that unique Alembic sound: bright, full and dynamic, with a sweet flavour that comes with the years. I am the first owner (!) and chose this one over 3 other Alembics in the shop at the time and I played this bass from 1989 till about 1995. From then on it rested in it's case. It has been played but considering a 31 years old instrument it is in very, very good condition. Technically 100%.
