DIY Acoustic Panels

Thanks for the links, I've done a fair bit of roughing it out based on Bob Golds data. Couldn't help but notice even he can't find specs for the RWA45!

I'd not seen the BBC stuff. You do realise I'm now going to have read my way through all of that, don't you 51m0n? xD

Yep, its absolutely fascinating - literally all the research papers dating back to the 30's on studio design, absorption and diffusion, partition wall design, acoustics in various studios. I mean this is the absolute real deal, proper science and actual investment in trying multiple possible solutions to many problems faced in studio design.

It is a time consuming read, but I can't recommend it enough. I've read most of it that pertains to studio design/acoustic treatment that was written in the last 50 years and its truly excellent material.

      Selling this wonderful tiny instrument.

It's 20 inch scale, has a tuner and preamp on board and can sound bang on like a double bass played pizz.

They originally came with white Aquila strings, but this has the massively better Thundergut Red set. Better tuning and intonation all round (and about £40 a set!)

RRP is £179 + the posh strings (£40) - the cheap strings (-£25) which I don't have anymore - say £135 ono collected from Northants. Would prefer not to ship this as I have nothing to send it in.

And here is a video by someone on youtube using original strings

Selling my Fender 60s Jazz Bass (Olympic White, Rosewood Neck). It's a great sounding bass with an authentic road worn look and in overall great condition! My collection is getting out of hand.. therefore i'm selling.
Classic Fender Jazz bass with timeless design elements. Off-set waist body, ultra-slim, fast-action neck and full-range Bi-Pole pickups. Many of the period-correct details that made the original Jazz basses so cool are spot-on replicated in this classic vintage-vibe beauty - especially the original offset waist, ultra-slim neck, and pair of vintage-style Alnico magnet Jazz Bass single-coil pickups.
One small dink on the neck (see pics) which doesn't effect playability. I removed the pick guard (I like the look without), which you can have with the bass.
Based in NW London, happy to ship UK wide for extra cash.

      Orange Terror Bass 500 Amp - £300
Very Good condition amp, works perfectly. I've owned this for several years and it's had minimal use, as most of the time I play with in-ear monitors and have no need of an amp. This has been kept in the house in storage and comes out for 1 gig each Summer. Time to move on so I can re-invest in something I'll get more use out of.
Orange Website: "Maintaining the size of the original Tiny Terror, the Terror Bass is a 500 watt hybrid amplifier with a Class D solid state power section and the same preamp as our all-valve AD200B UK bass amp.
With the same great looks as the other Terror series guitar amps, and a rugged construction that will stand up to the road, bass players can now become a part of the famed “Tiny Terror Club.”

      Orange 2x12 600W Isobaric Cab - £350
Very good condition. Cosmetic wear and tear visible in the photos, but again this cab has been used rarely and spends most of the time in the house locked in a cupboard. Perfect working order and packs a punch for such a small package.
Orange Website: "The revolutionary Orange SmartPower Bass Cabinets are ultra portable yet extremely powerful. The SP212 feature a ported Isobaric cabinet design and use lightweight Neodymium speakers.
Both speakers in the SP212 are front-facing, one behind the other. The space between the front speaker’s magnet and the rear speaker’s cone is airtight, ensuring that both speakers vibrate in conjunction with one another, thus keeping them in phase.
They may be small, but SmartPower bass cabs sound huge.
