Evening all,

Excuse me for being a numpty......... no longer a newbie but still a .............

How does one make ones pictures bigger when one is trying sell an item? Some of you cats have some great adverts and all I can get is thumbnails. I know one can click on them and they go up in size but that's not the point......!

While I'm at it, how does one add a list of ones gear to ones profile?

Hyperspaced,

The good photos are those hosted on an external site such as Flickr or Imgur. A simple 'Copy - Paste' of their BBCode into one's post will show a full-sized photo, and will take up none of one's quota on the Forum's server..! Recommended.

Go to 'My Profile' from the menu evoked by selecting your Pseudo, Top Right...
Click the 'Edit my Profile' button (Upper Right...)...
Select 'Signature' from the List column on the Left...
Edit the Signature; 'Save Changes' when finished.

Hope this helps.

You can also link to photos on other websites directly using an HTML code... e.g. To an image on your Facebook page...

I've added lots of double asterisks and spaces into the text below to show the format. Remove them and it's the code for the above photo. Basicall, the square brackets with img in it followed by the image URL followed by /img in square brackets (hope this works)

...which boils down to BBCode, really.

Indeed, but you're not relying on only using photo hosting sites that provide the code automatically for you. You can pick most images off the net and type them in directly... just like Mr Karfler did (or not, I see he wimped out and saved it in Photobucket first!)

Que.......... That just made me roar.

Yeah, the problem is you've got to really screw with the code to stop the site trying to parse it and just come up with a broken image...

Ha! Now there's a way to show the code in plain text to show the BB Code standard format!
