Multi-Effects/Amp Emulation for Bass and Guitar

Can anyone advise me on an multi-effects/amp emulation unit that works well for both bass and guitar? I've been doing some research but it's not always clear from some product info whether bass amps/effects are covered. Looking toward the budget end and need something that will do a decent job plugged directly into PA if required.

Anyone pointers much appreciated! Cheers.

What about the guitar version of the Line 6 PODXT. You can add their bass expansion pack to it which gives you a load of bass amp emulations. You loose out on a few things that you'd get on the bass version of the POD, different multi band eq is one from memory, but would certainly do what you want.

If you want to go lower budget seek out a Johnson J-Station. Has it all.

DigiTech BP355.

I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Has bass and guitar amp sims, all kinds of fx, a looper, plus drums to play along to. Great sounds achievable for under £100.

I have one and use mine for both guitar and bass.

You're right about the product info not being too clear, but this has 20 amp sims, 9 of which are for guitar.

If you happen to have an iPad or iPhone, you can get great apps and interfaces for those too that can totally replace a multi fx and always be upgradable!
