Selling my true roadworn VanderEnd JB5 custom,

Swamp ash body with birdseye maple neck. Neck is graphite reinforced. 35", Lindy Fralin pickups,
Hipshot bridge and tuners, active/passive VDE preamp.

Great bass, has seen a lot of shows, therefor it has quite a lot dings and dongs, see pictures, but everything
functions as it should.

Recently setup with a new set of DR Hi-Beams.

£700

Truss rod is working fine. You can try it if you want, it was never broken.

If it was, I would have mentioned it.

I also own a JB5 which was sold to me with a 'broken' trussrod (which made for a very sweet deal). Seemed the former owner had been going at it with a wrong sized allen-key, almost ruining the brass nut :dash1: Got myself an imperial sized hex-key and had all the travel a man ever is going to need on a trussrod. Anyway, very nice instrument from one of the Netherlands' top regarded luthiers. GLWTS!

That was also the issue with this bass...previous owner didn't had the right tool to adjust the truss rod, but the rod works freely with the right key. :)

Nice looking bass. what's the pickups? It looks like theirs a MM with another pup on the bridge side?
Yup, it's J/MM/J

Lindy Fralin pups :)

Crazy price for such a quality instrument!!

The J/MM/J pick up configuration is unusual too, which must yield a huge array of tones.. Cool '70s J bass looks - what's not to like?

Surely someone will take it off your hands at this price..

GLWTS

Got a lot of questions about the controls and switches.

This is what they do:

the knobs are: Volume (neck j pup), Volume (MM + bridge J pup), Tone, Bass, Treble,
the switches are: 2 way toggle MM/J pickup, 3 way toggle MM coils (both/front coil/back coil), 2 way toggle active/passive.

Looks like too much, but actually it's a jazz and stingray in one. :)
