1. Hi, I'm not an active user of basschat but being a kid of the 80's and 90's I do have a softspot for TE bass amps from that era in the sense that my bassment has become a retirement home for TE's (in a good way - regular use, all the maintenance they could wish for). I currently own a couple of 250w GP7SM and GP12SMX heads, a mint series 6 BLX80 ❤️, a mint '94 715HSM GP7SM combo and my latest addition: a '90 Twin Valve 1x15" combo I bought from the first owner who has never used it outside his house. It is like a time machine bringing you back to the TE dealer 30 years ago. Due to its age and lack of use it needs some of its solder joints refluxed and probably a recap but then it will be as good as new. However, it is missing a single black EQ slider cap which it really needs to grow old in a decent fashion 🙂 I checked with British Audio Service and former TE's Mark Gooday at Ashdown with no success. Would anyone here be able to help a fellow bassplayer in sourcing a single black EQ-slider cap? I will of course happily pay a healthy amount including shipping for it. Thanks for your help. These, but black 😉
 2. Nice and underappreciated instrument. Probably the best passive 5-string I have ever laid my hands on. GLWTS.
 3.
Truss rod is working fine. You can try it if you want, it was never broken. If it was, I would have mentioned it.
I also own a JB5 which was sold to me with a 'broken' trussrod (which made for a very sweet deal). Seemed the former owner had been going at it with a wrong sized allen-key, almost ruining the brass nut Got myself an imperial sized hex-key and had all the travel a man ever is going to need on a trussrod. Anyway, very nice instrument from one of the Netherlands' top regarded luthiers. GLWTS!
 4.
If you buy one, come back and tell us about the bass, won't you?
Sure will. But up front, with a 23 year hiatus possibly ending tomorrow night, I am far from an authority on uprights
 5. I realize this looks like bumping a zombie thread but since there is so little to be found on the internet about this (apparently pretty good) EUB, I am wondering how you feel about the instrument six months down the line? Would be great hearing some more about it since I am in the opportunity of getting one myself and am pondering between the Landscape or a NS NXT.
 6.
So nice! I wish I had more cash otherwise I'd other my Musicman Bongo 4HH in parting too. GLWTS
Thanks. My current 'player' is a Bongo 5HS. Make no mistake: the (this!) Streamer is a *great* bass and the Bongo might look like the odd duck of the bunch but in my opinion, it has the edge over the SS1
 7. For the record: the bathroom scale shows a healthy 4,8 kilograms (~10,58 pounds) for this excellent example of German engineering
 8.
Cheers, looks great
Thanks, I fully agree Plays great as well.
 9.
Could you supply an image of the fretboard, detailing a few frets?
I'll take pictures somewhere tonight. Expect 24 nice and shiny bell brass frets with no sign of wear whatsoever on a 10/10 wengé fretboard.
 10.
back side ?
Thanks for your comprehensive reply The Streamer's back side is immaculate; no buckle wear, significant scratches, dings or dongs. Amended the opening post with additional pictures as per the request of itzing.
 11. Up for sale is my '91 Warwick Streamer 5-string in natural oil finish. In a nutshell: Built in 1991, serial number C20691; flame maple body wings (the pictures really don't do it justice); 7-piece maple/wengé neck; wengé fingerboard; natural oil/wax finish; mother-of-pearl sidedots; Bartolini soapbar pickups; MEC preamp (pickup-pan, master volume (pull passive), bass cut/boost, treble cut/boost; fitted with the original Schaller straplocks; fully adjustable Warwick 3D bridge with 19mm string spacing; Warwick Just-A-Nut nut; Weight: ~4,89 kilograms; 'Made in West-Germany' tuners The Streamer is fully original and had a refret in 2014 using original Warwick bell-brass fretwire. The job was done by luthier Wim Heins in Sneek, the Netherlands. The trussrod was replaced by myself with an original Warwick replacement. The original is still here and you could use it when you fit it with a couple of washers if you're manic about originality. The low cost for a replacement rod made me decide to do a drop-in replacement. NB: with these basses, the trussrod is a user-replaceable part. If you take its age into account, the overall condition is very good. Some minor scratches here and there which are covered up mostly by the matte finish. It was always well taken care of using original Warwick maintenance products. The bass is fitted with a fresh set of Elixir strings and comes with a (non-original) hardshell case. Not really looking for trades but trade-plus-cash of a 5-string MusicMan Stingray or Pedulla MVP 5-string is something I would consider. Pickup is preferred but shipping throughout Europe is no problem even though I would never buy a bass in this price range without having played it myself. Location is Gorredijk, the Netherlands. Looking for GBP 1.250,00 (excluding shipping).
