jimmybass04 Posted August 27, 2008 Share Posted August 27, 2008 lookin for a good volume pedal to use with my effects, i need to be able to adjust my volume for solos with effects etc so i need a high gain pedal to also use for swells etc. can anyone recommend which one i should buy, they seem to vary a lot in cost. cheers , jimmy. I do remember I really didn't get on with it, I couldn't work out the setup so it came in progressively. However, I am a notorious pedal-phobe, so it may just be me. dudewheresmybass Posted August 27, 2008 Share Posted August 27, 2008 i use the Boss fv500H - a great pedal - totally bombproof construction, a minimum setting to set it up for just boosting, no string in sight, and can also be used as an expression pedal (with a stereo lead). all this and retail price around the £70 mark! It's got LEDs to show how loud you are, so you don't have to rely on your ears alone! Great idea IMO. The older version (if you can find it) should be pretty cheap, but the new version has blue LED's and some other fancy options like stereo outputs and stuff. It has a Tuner output too, so you can just rock the pedal back and tune in silence. I think the newer models can be had for around £50?
