[s]£1600[/s] £1550

Recently acquired this in a trade as an attempt at fretless, alas a heavily inebriated gentleman trying to get into his house at 3am would have an easier time of finding the key than I can on this!

Specs as follows:

2007 Sei Flamboyant Fretless 5
Specs
Body Style - Headed Flamboyant Offset 5 string Fretless
Fingerboard - Ebony
Neck - Flamed Maple with Purpleheart stringers
Body Wood - Mahogany
Facing Woods - Birdseye maple
Circuit - Schack 18v
Pickups - Nordstrand Fatstacks
Veneer - Dark

General Options
- Blue side Leds
- Tuning pegs slightly angled towards body
- Strap button behind top horn
- Semi Lined
- Gold hardware
- Full facing on front
- Schaller straplocks
- Carbon fibre rods

A bass of fantastic quality, gorgeous neck and electronics package is fantastic. The bass has blue LEDs running down the side of the neck, not something I particularly look for in an instrument but a nice touch. Bar a little unavoidable string wear on the fingerboard, the bass is in A+ condition, a real stunner. Pictures do not do the birdseye maple justice.

Cash sale £1600 ono.

Will consider most trades, however I will not consider another fretless or any bass with less than 5 strings. Would prefer cash my way.

Pictures courtesy of a previous owner, bass is in the same condition :)

Cheers buddy, if that Dolphin grows an extra string let me know!

Guidance on trades, 5 string preferable and would be looking for a straight trade or cash my way really. Warwick, Dingwall, Roscoe, Sei and similar interest me :) would always prefer to meet than post but I do have a box :).

Bass also comes in a basically brand new Warwick hardcase.

Yeh i spoke to Martin about getting one done that I saw for sale, think it was around that figure! He has a nice fretted one in the Gallery just now but yours looks super nice! Whats the neck like on this? Some of the dolphin 5s are quite chunky !

The neck on this is just lovely and fast , very similar C profile to my Dingwall, one of the best features of the bass for sure. Nice and light, too, :)

If this doesn't sell I will be getting it fretted, just seems a shame to ruin such a lovely fretless! Should get change from £200 too...

Do not, under any circumstances, fret this bass it is too organic looking to adulterate. Is it a 34" scale?

That is sort of what I have been thinking, its too nice as it is to fret!

Oops, it is 35" Scale strung E-C, should have mentioned that, very, very comfortable to play. :)

How easy to convert to B to G?
It was probably B-G when it left Martin :) Tweak of the Truss rod and all will be good! Would be happy to do it myself if the buyer pays for the strings :)

Beautiful Sei Kev. I'm still jealous of your Dingwall!
Cheers bud. The Dingwall is a peach, no plans to move her on at the moment...but I say that about a lot of basses! :D

If you're looking to move it on, give me first refusal ;)
Will do kiddo, but don't hold your breath ;)

Why not grab a gorgeous Sei instead! It has a nicer neck than the Dinger....;)

A couple of people have asked now if the bass can be strung B-G. As I say, happy to set the bass up B-G with a set of strings purchased by the buyer if required, however be assured the nut is cut enough for B-G. It is, however, great E-C!

Here is a picture of a .125 B in the nut :)

Bump :) another purchase now forces my hand to sell this one rather than trade, unless it is something I can sell easily myself... In which case you may as well sell it instead ;)
