Is it fiddly to tune, with the six tuners in a row like that? From what I've heard of Sei in general, I thought that they were a top class range of basses, and hence I'd expect that even if it looks fiddly to tune, it would in fact be a delight. Wasn't there someone somewhere on the forum upset because they couldn't afford a seven string Sei at that time on sale in one of the notable bass stores in London? @TheGreek - totally off topic, but it's interesting to see all your very high end basses, and a Bass Collection BC310 in there. TheGreek Posted May 2, 2014 Share Posted May 2, 2014 People forget that in it's day the Bass Collection was a high end bass - I remember trying one at a Fair at the Barbican in the 80s - I also tried a Wal, an Overwater and a Rick - the Bass Collection was not outclassed by the, now, better known brands. Annoying Twit Posted May 3, 2014 Author Share Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) I did bid on a BC310 a few months ago, and came second. It sold for £115. I thought I was lowballing it and was very surprised at what it went for. When I build up £££ of 'man toy' budget for a fretless (currently £-30 (negative) budget available ), perhaps I should be looking at a Bass Collection fretless in my list of potential instruments. [/quote] A couple of yrs ago there was a guy on gumtree Selling a beautiful blue frettless 320 and asking £150 for it ..typically , collection only from Glasgow ..i live in Kent ...
