Legion Posted October 30, 2013 Share Posted October 30, 2013 'Birdseye' is a naturally occuring figuring in maple so there is no reason that a bass could not get lucky and land a neck with some figuring. I've seen vintage basses with it and obviously plenty without. What are the chances? impossible to give you a number beyond the fact that birdseye occurs in about 1% of maple.
