A friends band do really well out of it...and I was reluctant to go and see them as I had these pre-conceptions about material
but they had such a good spin on numbers....that it was very entertaing.

I think...or have learnt...that if you think the 60's is boring, then you are picking the wrong numbers

What can be wrong with the Small Faces, Who and Stones..to start with...!!!

Yes a lot of it is down to how you approach the material. If you approach it as enjoying playing great songs, you are on a winner. If you think you are churning out the same old guff, you clearly are not!

yep, it comes down to it that if you are any good, you'll get work... era doesn't really come into it..

We are doing 21st birthday parties..which considering we are much older, that can be daunting, but it seems to work.
I also find that a 60th party...which you'd think you'd run away from ..are people who have heard a lot of music
and that will work as well.

Personally, I hate the 80's...

....But, how much life is there in a 60's cover band?....

Who cares. It's all music and the 60's was full of great music. Do it as long as they are playing the good stuff.

You should be asking yourself; how good are they and do I get on with them?

Friend of mine plays guitar with The Overtures...... They really have a slick show. Do lots of TV work and shows in Europe. They do a Theatre tour of the UK too every year

Great band

I saw the overtures last night, absolutely brilliant 60s cover band, and they get some great gigs by the look of it
