It is with regret (again) that I am selling another of my collection.
Here is an original (except strings and battery for the purists) unmolested Westone Thunder 1A
No issues, everything as it should be, has the wonderful Westone growl , a very underrated bass.
All electronics fine.
Looking for offers over £135.00 including insured courier postage within UK ,will ship worldwide.
Somebody please give it a good home or it goes on ebay !!!!!

If you need more pictures or info just ask...

cheers Paul

£135 is a very fair price for the active version - if no-one here takes it (and there have been one or two folk asking about them in the last few months) you should get that on the Bay, no sweat. :)

According to the guide at the http://www.westone.info site, yours is 1983 (1st digit is the year) and from the pics it looks in lovely condition.

Thanks for the encouragement it is indeed a 83 model and considering it is 25 years old is in excellent condition with very little wear and just a few nicks and a bit of a buckle mark on the back.

For anyone just starting out this would be an excellent choice as it would probably cost in the region of £300 - £400 these days for the quality that the early westones had. I just sold a Spectrum LX bass to a friend for £80 and it wasn't in the same league as the Thunder.

I will keep it here till the end of the weekend then its off to ebay. The offers over £135.00 includes the shipping.

I'm really looking forward to it once the deal goes through.

I'm a big fan of early 80's Japanese instruments, my fave being an '84 Tokai Goldstar Sound Strat with a neck that was like playing warm butter mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Then I came to my senses and decided to ditch 2 strings :)
