1. Hello all. I now have a fireplace AND this guitar ..... AND a larger overdraft. Anyone want a really sexy strat? I'll accept £200 but literally not a penny less.
2. Done two deals with Joe now - both perfect from a seller's point of view. No time waster.
3. I've never had that problem. There is a cable tidy underneath (the grey bit) but that's not needed so I can't see why you could build the desk without it if you wanted. The heights of the sections are up to you - there are loads of pictures of different arrangements (mostly musicians!) on Google: http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=ikea+fred...440&bih=745
4. Owning a house is more expensive than I had realised, so this next sacrifice will hopefully help me buy a gas fire to put in this hole in the wall. G&Ls are well known to people around here, so I don't need to say too much. It's got nary a scratch or ding on it. The trem system is superb for holding tuning compared to a Mexican Strat of the same price, the pickups are ace (same as in the USA model, I think that's true of all Korean G&Ls). The colour is wonderful, certainly the best finish on a guitar I own. I'm only selling this one because it doesn't have the sentimental value some of my others do. It took me a lot of attempts to capture the finish of the guitar in poor lighting, so please enjoy my photos. Before it goes I'll restring it with 10s, oil the board and clean it thoroughly. I can include the buyer's choice of a gig bag or flight case - the former being adequate but unspectacular and the latter being a bit beaten up but very solid - if there isn't too much monkey business with the sale price. You can collect from me in Leeds, or meet at a mutually convenient location, or I can ship it at cost. My feedback is good and I'm not a time waster. £240 o.n.o. for a really good guitar that represents better value than any other Strat I can think of, and is genuinely more Fender than a Fender. 5. Hi guys, sadly my desk doesn't fit in any of the rooms in my new house, so before dismantling I took a few snaps. It's an Ikea Fredrik in silver and birch. I got it because it's ideal for putting nearfield studio monitors at the right height - if you sit them at desk height on a standard table they point below your ears so you hear more of the reflections than the direct sound. I've used the top shelf for my printer and audio interface/preamps/etc. Nothing to stop you using it as a normal desk, of course, but then it'd be a Gumtree listing and not a 'musically related' item. Here's the link on the Ikea site, but note that when I threw a measuring tape around it, I thought it was 120cm x 80cm - different to the dimensions on Ikea's site - so if the exact size is important to you, let me know and I'll re-measure it. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60111123 It's in nearly new condition - 18 months old and lightly used. Takes five minutes to put together, only four screws; if you're nearby to me I'll come round and help you put it up. £45 ovno please .... any questions just PM me. 6. Bumpski - six little balanced TRS patch leads for anyone who wants them thrown in!
7. Bumparoo .......... must be a PA or studio guy out there who wants one of these for pennies?
8. The perfect buyer - responsive, prompt and reliable ...... and patient when I forgot to ask for his address! Cheers!
9. OK I've got two of these I don't need. The photos show both of them in a rack (the rack frame can be yours for a fiver or free if you take both patchbays). They've never been used but haven't been boxed up all of that time - you might be able to see a few specs of dust in the pictures. The boxes are included, and the labelling strips are in there too. The cheapest obvious price that comes up on Google is Studiospares, who have these for £45 each. If you come and collect, you can have them for £10 each (£20 the pair with the rack thrown in), which is clearly a bargain. The MOTU a-d-a / ADAT converter box pictured is not included but is available for a peanuts offer. 10. Another in my clearout collection .... cutting losses from bad buying decisions. We've all been there, right? Basically unused, just sat in my living room. Ended up getting rid of the thing I wanted to put into it. Shame because it's well made and looks tough as old boots. Only slight snag is (as you can see in the photos), two of the eight screws are missing. Wouldn't bother me as six screws would be plenty for most purposes in a 2u bag (put two in the shallower/lighter thing or one that can rest on the bottom of the case), but I promise I'll have a good look as I pack my things up to move house, just in case I still have them around somewhere. And the nuts they screw into are still in the runners so you could probably find screws that fit if you look up what size they are. Shoulder strap is included. £20 if you come and get it from me in Leeds - postage at cost. PM with any questions.
11. Next one in a clearout series - I'm moving house and have a stack of things that I don't want to take with me. This is a Stagg multicore I bought for a studio I never set up (see Neutrik patchbays to be listed shortly). It's balanced jacks (TRS). It may also have a little added dust since I took the photos. £12 if you come and collect it from me in Leeds - £20 delivered (it's got some weight and I'd need to find packaging too).
12. Marking this sold pending an exchange in a couple of weeks.
13.
It is low hence the speedy pm's. Can't stand tiles and tiling so can't help I'm afraid! cheers andy
Me neither. Painting, a bit of wiring, carpet laying even, but doing my own tiling would end up in even more tears than the ones I'll be shedding when I get the tiler's bill for him to do it!
14. Yeah I've made this mistake before. Four people after it within 90 mins of listing is usually a sign I've put the price too low. Is that the price of wanting a hassle-free sale perhaps?? I wonder how many bathroom tiles fifty quid will buy me? :-/
15. Hi guys, moving house = clearout time. First in a series of as many as I get around to doing is this cab. Bought from a fellow BCer a little while back (the pics are his but condition hasn't changed) and unused since then as it coincided with my lunatic decision to spend my new car fund on a Markbass rig. I only ever tried it out the once and I remember there possibly being a slight rattle or crackle when I had my lows up and loud. With my belongings in boxes I simply can't get round to plugging it in and testing it for myself so instead I'm offering it for a 'save me bothering with it' price of £50. I would prefer pickup (Leeds, weekday evenings / weekends / ASAP basically), simply so you can bring round your head/combo and plug it in and hear it for yourself, but let's be honest, at that price you could stick a new cone in it and it'd still be a bargain. Or buy it as a nice sounding practice cab for home, or an extension for gigging that you don't mind other bands thrashing. For fifty quid, you could use it as a hipster coffee table if you like. It's very light, 42lbs I think (errr .... lighter than my Markbass) but has a normal speaker in so it's the construction itself that makes it so light (i.e. if you wanted it just for the frame you'll still have a lightweight cab afterwards). It's in very good condition with some scratching to corner pieces, that's about it. Any questions get in touch - I've not been on here much in recent times but I have good feedback and have met numerous BCers in person for Bass Bashes and trading gear. 19. Call me a sucker but this has caught my eye ......... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IBANEZ-AGB200-TBR-AG...=item5ad718e2ad
20. You guys are great. I'm drowning in work right now so I might not be advancing too far on this before Easter. The Urge is one I definitely was interested in ...... not seen the Hagstrom yet though. And Bronco/Mustang and Epi/Gibbo go on my list too, though I like 'odd' things (read "I want to be different so I can snootily espouse clichés .... because I apparently never stopped being a teenager") so the others might be more up my street. As for a 32" 5-string, that could well be the guitar of my dreams. So I need to find out more about Landing. Thanks for the kind offers from my fellow Yorkshire dwellers, if I don't take you up on them before then, perhaps a chance encounter at an upcoming Bass Bash could be in order? Nik
