What's wrong with the wheels - are they too small? I have 3" castors on my cab, and they're not great.

Smallish wheels reminiscent of skateboard wheels.
Smooth surface... easy glide with no resistance
Bumpy surface... the cab jolts about but it can still be moved reasonably easily. Just don't run.
Very bumpy surface... carry it.

Yup! Y'see, it's not really difficult to come up with solutions instead of problems! B)

Well, I started this thread back at the beginning of May, and tomorrow I am going to Brighton to collect my new cab from Barefaced. My lovely new Super Twin will be on stage on Thursday!

Congrats! Looking forward to hearing how it performs on a gig!!

Thanks, I will report on that on Friday morning. I'll be driving the cab with my ABM 500 evo II.

I'll try to remember to record the gig as well.

BTW, I like your avatar, my local brew, our last gig was a 2 or 3 hundred yards from the Wychwood brewery. I'm such a regular customer they awarded me a gold card!

Cheers, looking forward to it :)

Thanks, our local hobgoblin pub closed down about 12 months ago much to my disappointment - used to be great live music venue and hobgoblin was under £2 a pint some nights! WOW! GOLD CARD?!! Makes me even more envious of you now!! :D

This impresses me far more than a mere OBE or Knighthood would.

A proper and appropriate award for your selfless commitment and valuable contribution to this very important aspect of national life. You must be very proud, and rightly so. Well done.

Change to sig noted. Sterling work....... no, hang on, that would be a silver card....... aurous work there.

Thank you one and all for the recognition of my work. I am, of course, typing this while wearing a Hobgoblin T shirt.

Picture attached to prove:

1) My undying allegiance to the wonders of Wychwood

2) That I am having a very slow day!

Most casters on bass cabs are a pain, unless you get proper manly and large ones
that normally live on flights cases..and then you know that they wont buckle or fall off easily.
It will still make rough surfaces a bugger tho...

Got it! Super Twin #001 now sitting under my amp waiting for me to try it in the morning. Great to meet Alex and the team today, what a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable bunch they are.

Such a treat to carry my cab indoors in just one hand!
