ossie Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 Hi Guys, Just wondered if anyone has any tips on buying an electro acoustic to practice on, maybe around a couple of hundred quid, probably second hand. Was considering Crafter (allways seems popular), Takamine, Fender etc. Play Jazz Basses most of the time. looking for something with a relatively good sound. Any advice much appreciated. [/quote] +1 - I've got the 5 string version. Have had it for approx. 3 years, and do all my practice on it. [/quote] Absolutely this. And if you do amp it up, get a soundhole plug to reduce feedback. And then there's the issue with getting a case or bag for the thing. Sold my Ovation last week for all of these reasons. It was in perfect condition after 15 years' ownership. I think that says something. So does the fact that I'm not missing it at all.
