The nice people at Warwick want about £17.00 for one delivered. Maplin have a long reach chassis socket [url="http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=223988&doy=24m5&C=SO&U=strat15"]http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...O&U=strat15[/url] but before I invest my hard earned £1.79 can anyone tell me if I'm missing a trick here. g1hsg Posted May 25, 2008 Author Share Posted May 25, 2008 Thanks for that . The Maplins one is a Neutrik, a brand I've used in my day job for years, happy to defer to older & wiser counsel though. I would of responded sooner but the PC PSU died on me this morning. PC Worls clearly have a Warwick employee on loan as they wanted £49.99 for a 400w ATX PSU, the computer shop I usuallu use managed to knock one out at £11.25 !! PS good luck with th PC repair -- I had a forced on Friday when my pertner spilt a cup of coffee on this keyboard..... Does the Warwick version have non-standard dimensions ?[/quote] Switchcraft seem to have the best "fit" barrel sockets for jack plugs. Dimensions do vary from different manufacturers. I always use the Switchcraft, I think about £6/8 each. I tried others but the jack plug was ever so slightly loose and as the battery is connected as well, the signal was cutting in and out.
