Updated with more pictures and information -

Up for sale only is my awesome handmade Shuker 5 series II bolt-on completed in December 2009. This really is a fantastic bass with huge flexibility sound-wise...if I didn't have another bass on the way, this would stay with me but I really have to operate a one in, one out policy at the moment.
The spec is below, along with pictures and a showreel of recordings I've made with the bass.

The bass has had lots of playing but is in great condition with no major dings or dents - 8.5/10 !! (I have included a picture of a tiny surface scratch on the finger board at the first fret. It's really not that big or deep but I wanted to show it.)
The frets we're levelled at the last service and, as I then received a new SC bass from Jon, this bass hasn't seen many playing hours since so they are also in great shape.

Now fully serviced, fret polish and new strings!!!

This bass new, with the various options, would cost over £2000 and there would be a 9-12 month wait for delivery....
I am based in London and can ship within the UK, Europe all at buyers expense. Trials are also possible for the more local buyer.

Thanks for the offer Ian. I'm going to give it a little while and see if a cash buyer comes along...they do both look very nice though, particularly the fender!!

It is indeed Peted...I know I'll miss it :-s

 • 2 months later...

I'm pretty sure it can be removed but it really is tiny. Since it has been serviced it has got less pronounced. Maybe due to the wood soaking up the lemon oil and re-expanding...? Either way it's barely noticeable. And it in no way impacts on the playability or sound of the bass as it is purely a surface indent. I hope that helps :)

Thanks for the comments guys :) I've had a few offers of trades but nothing I 'm going for. I really want a cash / bank transfer sale. This really is a stunning example of Jon's handiwork..such a great player and if you ask me, it's a bargin (I guess I would say that but it really is!!)

Still can't believe this is still for sale.

My original series 2 Shuker was one of the first built using the series 2 shape . very comfortable and a complete tone monster.

When having mine built a similar type of buckeye was offered. Looked absolutely stunning...

Somebody will be getting an amazing piece of Jons work.

Sunday bump
