Evil Undead
I love using Amplitube (with iRig) on my ipad for practising bass, but hate listening to it through headphones, and hate having cables all over the place. I wish someone would invent an ipad dock with built in decent speakers that I could just dock my ipad in. It would have something like irig or apogee jam etc built in to the unit, and the unit would also have a volume control and a ¼ jack built in to plug the bass into. I dream… The technology must be possible, surely?

Evil Undead
Do you think it's possible to connect a cab to the alesis thing? Would it even power a small cab?
jackers
the roland cube amps have mono and stereo inputs. I use the stereo in to play along to music from my iPad with and without headphones.
Ramirez
Why not try connecting the iPad to a small stage monitor/powered PA cab?
fumps
You want that dock above but with a block rocker attached, my mate has one & they are fantastic for outdoor parties as they are battery driven & the battery does last at top volume as well. Dad3353
[quote name='Evil Undead' timestamp='1360330206' post='1968703'] I love using Amplitube (with iRig) on my ipad for practising bass, but hate listening to it through headphones, and hate having cables all over the place. Whilst accepting that there are, perhaps, more elegant solutions, there's no life-threatening urgency here. You don't 'need' to improve on what you have, which is already xx% better than that available to even the best equipped folks a few years ago. Getting the practice in is far more important than a couple of cables, however inconvenient they might be. Advice of the day: be content with what you have, and forget about there being 'green grass' just over the fence. There ain't. Respect; no malice intended. Evil Undead
Hi Douglas Thanks, I appreciate your post, but I'm not looking for anything new, or to replace what I have. I really like my setup. I'm just pondering over what might be possible, or what would be really cool in the future.
Dad3353
Check. Pleased to hear that, Mel. Keep on keeping on...
