Cosmo Valdemar Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 Leon Wilkeson didn't play bass on 'Pronounced...' - he left before recording and re-joined stright after. One of the guitarists covered the bass parts for the album. What help that is to the OP I have no idea. That whole album has a fantastic bass tone. [/quote] This. Skynyrd aren't really a band I've ever focused on trying to emulate the bass sound too much. I think it's just a good rock sound with a great groove. Plus if you're doing the whole 2 to 3 guitar thing the challenge will just be to get a nice sound that can be heard in the mix.
