hi everyone

After a 25 yr sabbatical I have dug out the squire bullet from the loft ready to do battle again

Not the finest instrument in the world but will do just fine

Dusted off Jamerson's 'in the shadow of motown' and raring to go now

How hard can it be ha ha :(

PS Great site with tons of quality info

Cheers

Hey Bassic,

Welcome!
Yup, this site is huge and large and big. Also, it contains livestock that will happily hear you tell about your previous bass life and discuss with you how fantastic Bullets are (or not - Idunno)

Many people (not me) here have had long sabbaticals, so you're not alone.

Enjoy the site!

Welcome. A student of Jamerson - excellent even if you mean the whiskey (although I prefer Kilbeggan).
Our stories are similar in that I was on sabbatical until last summer except this is the first time for bass.
This is a great site with tons of quality info but, even more importantly to me, tons of quality people.

Hey! That's protestant whiskey!
(before someone corrects me: look at the history of both that and Bushmills)

BTW, kudos to Bassic for the login name find. Would've expected that to have been taken long ago. Some people are able, aren't they?

You almost always make me laugh or, as the kids say these days LOL. Which whiskey is protestant, Jamesons or Kilbeggin?
And what about Glenmorangie? Ever tasted their Quinta Ruban?
This may explain my proclivity for these beverages as I am of Scots-Irish descent and presbyterian (more or less).

Oh, sorry. I meant Jamesons. Forgot about the Kilbeggan.
IMS, according to a web thing I read, Jamesons started out as a protestant whiskey, as the old man was a protestant himself. But it's made in a Roman Catholic area, and is most often called the Catholic whiskey.
Bushmills' story is exactly the opposite

Don't know Kilbeggan. Might give it a try.

Glenmorangie is not a whiskey. It is however a fantastic whisky brand, where even their cheapish "Original" is a very, very good whisky. That and their very expensive stuff.

Now to keep this On Topic: Anyone ever tasted Bassic or Bullet? How was it?

Thanks for the great welcome everyone

I also thought my login name would have been used yrs ago

Definitely a fan of both Motown legend and whiskey wherever it comes from ha ha

As for digging out bullets, other than the Korean version from my loft I live in sunny Gloucestershire were you would do well to stub your toe
Cheers
