I'm after some new ones for my Bass Collection bass and would like to get quality ones . I'm not thinking flats so a gauge for rounds good for a beginner would be cool. Leen2112 Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 How about Elixir strings, there coated and claim to last 3-5 times longer........I got them with my new Ibanez and its a reg size and its not bad, more expensive though. Mainly I use rotosounds Hybrid 40-125, cheap and bright. Its all down to personal taste. [/quote] I like DR Sunbeams, and while i have no experience of TI (Thomastik/Infeld) Jazz rounds, I have read great reviews about them. Both have low tension, especially the TI's. XL Pros is SS are a good start point, IMO In my 12-18 months of testing..I would put these in my best 5 that I used and the price is ok.
