Hi all,

This is my treasured Ken Smith, and has been through a lot with me. I longed to own a Smith Black Tiger, and I must say it really surpassed my expectations. Really worth every penny.

It is in beautiful condition, and plays incredibly. It has been worked on by Phil Hartley, phenomenal guitar tech and luthier in Bolton, and is absolutely perfect! He worked on the neck to get a perfect curvature and action, dressed all the frets and polished, and intonation, giving a perfect playing experience. Perfect balance between super-low action and quality of tone. Effortless to play. Immense tone, so versatile. This has had much use in theatres, and have had comments from audience members who really appreciated the tone and sound of the bass..which says a lot when they're sat up in the gods! It's had comments in all environments in fact, and i've really loved being able to use it. Ive really looked after the bass, woods waxed, cleaned, oiled..the works. Absolutely beautiful bass, quite a find! Currently strung with DR HiBeams .30-.130.

I can ship, but would rather deliver or meet. Can be picked up at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, or I can run on the train for a negotiable price... I have a student railcard, so cheap-'ish' fare.

Any questions, please dont hesitate to ask.

£2850 firm or trade..... read below.

Best wishes,

Matt

I am looking to release about £1000 from the bass, so would be interested in a fretted 6 string worth £2000 plus £1k cash as a guide.

Thanks Perry! It really is a special bass! It's a very reluctant sale, and if the sale falls through on the bass i've seen, then this is staying. Purely out of a desire to spend some time with a Fodera, and my other bass (Overwater) is never going anywhere! So thought i'd try it whilst I can!

Any questions etc guys, don't hesitate! :)
