This is a Fender USA 1977 Precision, it features a maple fingerboard & original natural finish ash body. The bass weighs in at around 9.9lbs so not too hefty for a 70s era bass.

That so looks like my old bass. May I ask where you got it from and how long you have had it. I think I sold mine around 2001/2002 on Ebay.

I got it from a localish musician from the Greater Manchester area who said he had owned it for many years.

It's a fabulous example, I've seen it in the wood so to speak. Bargain.

Cheers Russ yes it's a beauty and I think the price is fair for what is a very playable and well constructed 70s era bass.

I have a 1977 Precision exactly the same as this which i bought new - £300 in Denmark street back in the summer of 77. Although i have retired it from gigs it is still my first choice for any studio trips. I think the price for this is really good value. I cannot believe that it has not already gone.

Thanks for the kind words Jeff - I think it's on it's way though!
