I would assume they would be for sale, I'd buy one or three! Oh I'm just feeling a bit pissed off TBH, ignore me!

Ok 2 gigs done with the rumour & it was a delight. Still got a bit of getting used to it to do but that's half the fun.

What do you guys use to clean / polish them up after gigs? It's so stunning i feel i should put more effort in to keeping it looking that way. Any suggestions - within reason - gratefully received.

I just use a clean duster and find that it takes most of the marks off the bass quite nicely.

Yeah that is a better shot - it is a work of art alright and so unique.

Spoke to the man this week and MUST get down to get the Rumour tweaked a bit as it should have been done after 6 weeks and that was April!!

Always worried when I walk in the shop just what I may end up spending!!!!!

I've seen this bass in the flesh. I've never seen a finish like it before. It looks 3D, unbelivable !

[quote name='durandassi' post='554887' date='Jul 29 2009, 11:03 AM']More, more ,more!!!!

thanks, that guitar is gonna be a stunner, i could be interested in one of those! but, more basses to get first!

how's your build going?

More? OK - I'll put some more pics up in a bit with some pics of some of the latest things that Bernie has been working on and some pics of some which haven't made it to the website yet. There's still some stuff to be added but it is beginning to take shape!

The guitar body has turned out really well, in my opinion anyway. He got it down to two shapes and seeing the actual body cut now, I think that the right decision was made. I think it's cool because it's not just another Strat/Tele/Les Paul and it pays hommage to the Rumour shape. I think it's having a humbucker and a P90 in it (but in a humbucker case) with a piezo bridge. The neck is going to be just like your Spitfire neck with the ebony stringers running through it. It's going to be loaded with side LEDs because the owner to be has trouble with his vision and they should help him out a bit. Looks sweet.

Mike (the guy who is having it built) is really chuffed with it so far... he has been phoning me up pretty much every day saying how great he thinks the body has turned out! The history is that he saw the angel bass when I took him down to Bernie's workshop to show him where I had my basses made and he pretty much decided there and then that he wanted a guitar with wood that looked like that. He spoke to Bernie about the possibilities of an original shaped GB guitar (that had an arse like a Rumour) and hence thats where the Rumour inspired guitar came from.

My build? My build is a while off yet - I've said to Bernie get some of the other orders out of the door before he thinks too much about mine, it's not as if I've got a shortage is it?! (Gives me a while to keep topping up the bass fund anyway!) Don't worry, as soon as I have any pics or more information, I'll let you know!

All I know in addition to what you aleady know is that it's probably going to be built out of Tulip wood as I want the lightness as that is going to be the bass of choice for the function band. In your face (I'll certainly be able to be seen eh?!) but very light so I can wear it all night...
