Ejb Posted April 4, 2012 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Hi I am thinking of adapting my Beloved 1978 Jazz Bass "reluctantly" as i am old fashioned and don't like to modify my gear. It won't just be your bass but with a more versatile eq control section. Looking at the price of that on eBay, I think I underpriced my u retro on here last week. fluffo Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Brilliant, you can always change it back, the east is a drop in piece which normally goes straight in, however it didn't on a friends 78 jazz, you don't want to start cutting your bass about. If you contact John East he may well email you a template to check it fits. The other option is the Audere Z mode ,very similar and will definatly fit. The East circuits are amongst the better on-board ones, but they are always constrained by what you can do and still fit the result in the typical bass control cavity whilst being efficiently powered by a 9V Battery.
