zapp
I've decided to sell my lovely immaculate Gibbo 359 because I simply don't play it enough to justify keeping it. I have a Custom Shop Strat that I play much more so this needs to go to someone that will give it the attention it deserves. The Guitar comes complete with its Gibson case and certificate of authenticity. I'm adding a link so that you can see what it looks like but I will add some pics of the actual guitar when I get my camera back! Mine is identical to the one in the link with a couple of exceptions. I've added gold locking Sperzel tuners as the Grovers were not as stable as they should have been. I've also added control knobs with 'volume' and 'tone' written over a pale gold insert rather than the plain black because I think they look nicer. I still have the originals though. Finally mine has the 30/60 neck not the 'slim' neck on the one pictured. This Guitar plays like a dream with a low fast action and tone to die for. These 57 Classic HB have tone in spades and will drive any valve amp in to hysteria if you want them to. Anyone seriously interested is more than welcome to give it a try through my 65 Deluxe Reverb RI, but be warned......If you do......you'll buy it!! There aren't that many of these around and new cost around the two and a half grand mark, which for a guitar out of the Gibson Custom Shop isn't bad I suppose. I'm only looking for £1400 which is a bit of a steal so if you're in the market for a Gibson Semi do yourself a favour and check this out. Its more comfortable and easier to handle than a 335 with no sacrifice to quality or tone.......and its cheaper. I went to a Robben Ford clinic last year and the man himself took time to admire this Guitar........well he has good taste, lol. zapp
me too mate. Ok as promised a few piccies. You'll have to forgive the overly bright image it the flash on the camera. The actual colour is pretty much identical the the first example image from 'Guitar Village'. Schnozzalee
Yet another beautiful guitar, bump for Zapp - always has quality gear. I'm a Strat fan too but ES-335 type guitars are a close second!! Check out Johnny A! EDIT: Strat Cat I should say, sounds marginally cooler Edited January 6, 2012 by Schnozzalee

zapp
I'd like to correct the info on the neck profile. In the original post I stated it was a 30/60 when in fact it is a Lucille 'type'. Appoligies for the mistake but it was stated as a 30/60 when I bought the Guitar. I'll add a link to the Gibson Custom pages so that you can read their accurate spec. Thanks to Bruce for the heads up. Nostromo
Hi Zapp, Have another free bump on me . . . What is the neck profile on this one . . . . . is it a fat 59 neck or a slimmer 60's taper neck . . . . or is it something different again ? Cheers, Lovely guitar . . . . . . zapp
Hi Nostromo. Thanks Its what Gibson call the 'Lucille' profile. Basically a tapered neck which if I had to describe would be a C shape at the headstock progressing to more of a D shape at the body end. Hope this helps.
