Being poor (well, more tight than poor), will wilkinson pickups be much of an improvement or would I be better off hunting down something better on the used market. If the pickup you're getting is weak then maybe worth a punt but I'd always look at the second hand market first, might scoop something better for the same money. But as has been said, if there is no rush you could hold out for secondhand - I just got a Seymour Duncan SPB3 for same sort of money. Donnyboy Posted November 17, 2011 Share Posted November 17, 2011 I've recently had Wilkinsons put on a Mex Jazz ( along with bridge & tuners)& they sound the bizz to me - i think there's 2 different types - cheaper & not so cheap- mine's are the not so cheap & the guitar doc thought they were better than the stock ones especially the bridge pickup.
