When the other musicians found out I played a bit of bass they insisted on calling me up to play a few numbers. After a few pints of Stella I agreed, and attempted the old standard L O V E. I didnt know it was being recorded!! Spend some more time listening to the greats and learn some 'proper' jazz tunes and before you'll know it, everyone will hate you too! My only reference was 'Nivram' by The Shadows and every cliche and scale (chromatic and otherwise) I could throw in there! Still, I did to get to play on a 1959 Precision with flats on it!! I,m currently working on The Seeker by the Who, and Hush, by Deep Purple. I was hesitating between 'cheezy' and 'rotten', and decided that, for the keyboards, 'rotten cheese' just about does it. The bass..? Nowt wrong with that, lad. We can even hear the 'Stella' taking its' toll at around 3'40 (cheeky run, that...). The outro came as a surprise to you, or have you heard them play before..? Handled like a veteran, whatever. If your rock is as good as your swing, you'll do fine. Well done. (...but the keyboard was really, [i]really[/i], rotten cheese...) Cheeky run eh? I,ll have another listen.
