Hee hee, this is great. I remember watching Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon in black and white while hundreds of kids proceeded to shout and fling sweets at each other throughout the entire performance. A geezer in a suit appeared at the end to make some sort of announcement which was always obscured by a hail of sweets and barrage of farting noises. Kids were rude and had no respect then as well, please note.

I haven't seen such a great example of 'no-sh*t-sherlock' journalism for weeks. 'Motorway service stations are expensive but they have toilets'. Thank God for the Torygraph!

Back to the OP, any of you actually been to Spalding? it's a real backwater, probably more so in the late 60's. Imagine all those guys turning up to play the gig - locals probably thought it was an alien invasion or something!
