Thirteen years later I’ve started getting reply notifications all of a sudden!

When I created this thread in 2011 I didn’t expect it to still be alive in 2025.

Hehe, my pleasure!

First Bass Owned: Univox violin-shape with giant scroll headstock
'Go To' Bass: Eastwood Univox Hi-Flyer (reissue)
'Your' Bass: Hofner CT Club Bass, best sound but string spacing too tight.

Nothing like a necro bump thread:

First Bass Owned: Aria Pro with a musicman humbucker (prior to this I borrowed/played a load of crappy basses from my school/friends etc.)
'Go To' Bass: Warwick Streamer 5 (mainly as it's my latest acquisition)
'Your' Bass: Musicman Stingray 3EQ - certainly the one I feel most comfortable playing and have my rig dialled in.

Really cool! I was born in 83 and if i could buy a birth-year bass, it would be that model!

It was a great bass and I wish I hadn't sold it. But I have a similar Roadster version that will play again soon, once I replace the 2 broken tuners.

And i also play 6 strings exclusively now: Ibanez SR1206 and a recently rescued Peavey Grind 6 which i plan tu turn into a fretless...

I'd love an SR1206, but am specifically looking for a 1996 version. Peaveys are rare here and I'd I've love a Grind or especially a Cirrus 6. I don't need wither, nor the BTB 6 and 7 that I might be able to pick up cheap locally.
