The Aguilar DB 359 is a 2-rack space powerhouse of fat, warm bass tone. The solid steel chassis means this amp will be on the road with you for a long time. The DB 359's preamp design employs the same tube gain stages as the world famous DB 680. Also, the DB 728 amp design was used in the power section of the head. These features combined with Aguilar's reputation for quality in design and manufacture make the DB 359 Bass Head an important milestone in bass amplification.
Absolutely lovely and very few of these around - well outside my price range I'm afraid. Great tone and enough power for smaller gigs without PA support - competes on tone with a 750 or 751 (but maybe not on power/price)
I owned EDEN VT300 and Sadowsky sa200 but the aguilar is much better;-)
Can I ask what the difference is between one of these and the DB750/751 - obviously those two are lower priced so I'm guessing there's something in the power section of the 359 that makes it more expensive?.
The db750 and 751 are hybrid amp and the db359 is all tube....
This is the biggest different....
The highend all tube amp, like sadowsky sa200,eden vt300 or markbass are very expensive.

Ah ha, that makes sense :)

I do like a good all tube amp, loved my old Ampeg SVTII non-pro but it made my DB750 look like a lightweight, lol.
