FS/FT: German-made Warwick Corvette £400

Hi All,

I have for sale or trade my German-made Warwick Corvette Standard in Ocean Blue. This is a great passive/9V active four string. As you can see from the swing tag, this is a 2003 model. It was bought by me new from the Gallery in Camden.

Condition:
This bass has been well looked after and has no major dings. It's free from buckle rash. On the pictures below you can see a slight mark at the top of the headstock and the bottom of the body near the battery compartment, but you'll have to look hard! There is also some wear on the neck pickup cover due to my no doubt over-exuberant slap technique.

Reason for Sale/Trade:
This has been gigged a few times but is getting no use now as I play a Stingray 5 string and Jazz 4 string in band I currently play in, so it's excess to requirements.

Modifications:
The bass has two modifications - the addition of Dunlop Straplocks and a genuine Hipshot Extender on the E string. I have the original Warwick Tuner, which is included.

Strings/Setup:
It's currently set up with a pretty low action and Warwick Black Label Light Guage strings in new condition, as it was my go-to slap machine(!) This bass is very easy to adjust, given that you can tweak the bridge for overall height and string spacing and you can also adjust the nut for height.

Accessories:
A Warwick Gig Bag is included

Specs:
Year: 2003 (Made in Germany)
Body: Swamp Ash
Neck: Ovangkol
Neck Join: Bolt-on
Fretboard: Wenge
Colour: Ocean Blue
Pickups: J/J Passive
Electronics: MEC 2-Way Active (9v)
Controls: Volume (Push/Pull Active/Passive), Pickup Blend, Bass, Treble
Strings: Warwick Black Label Light 35/55/75/95
Modifications: Dunlop Straploks, Hipshot Extender
Acessories: Warwick Gig Bag

Selling Price:
Taking into account some feedback I got here on Basschat earlier in the year, I'm looking for £400. This is a great bass with plenty of tonal flexibility and is rock-solid in construction.

Trades:
I'm very keen to add a Precision to my collection, so let me know what you have

Postage:
I haven't researched postage yet and to be honest I'd prefer if this was picked up, but I'm sure we can come to an agreement on cost and courier if you're interested. I can also travel a reasonable distance to meet.

Pics:
See below. Please PM if you need any more pics or have any questions at all.

Feedback:
Please see my feedback at http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79123

Thanks for looking folks!
Very nice. I'd be interested if I wasn't looking for something lighter.
Have a return bump. Cheers
No worries, mate. It's ash bodied, and the specs says it weighs in at 3.5kg (that's 7lb 11oz in old money). Best of luck with that Aerodyne!

Bump to the top! Roll up! Roll up!

I would bite your hand off if I didn't already own a Corvette Proline :)
Cheers mate - I'm sure it'll sell at some point - I'm in no real rush. Bump!

HI

I met you at the wedding gig last night in Sidcup. I bored you with Musicman SR5 and G&L bargain repair jobs! You sounded great through the GB shuttle and Aguilar gear. FNM and Mettalica covers ? Whatever next ha ha!

Hi Craig,

Thanks, mate - nice to meet you! You've picked up some cracking bargains in the past by all accounts - let me know when you're gigging next and I'll try to get along. Courthouse in Dartford on the 22nd Oct is the next local one for us, I think.
